Deepening India–Sri Lanka Textile and Apparel Cooperation at Bharat Tex 2026

At Bharat Tex 2026 in New Delhi, on 14 July 2026, the Hon. Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development of Sri Lanka, Sunil Handunneththi, held productive meetings with Hon. Union Minister of Textiles of India Shri Giriraj Singh and Hon. Minister of State for Textiles & External Affairs of India Shri Pabitra Margherita.

The discussions focused on strengthening India–Sri Lanka cooperation in the textiles and apparel sector, promoting investment, enhancing value-chain linkages, and expanding opportunities for trade and industry collaboration, as well as capacity building.
