High Commissioner Mahishini Colonne participated in the WION Iconic Tourism Summit & Awards 2026, held in New Delhi on 23 September, as a panellist at the session “Soft Power on the Move: Tourism, Culture & Bilateral Ties” moderated by Sidhant Sibal, Foreign Affairs Editor, WION.
The panel brought together Heads of Mission of Sri Lanka, Greece, Ireland, Slovakia, and Nicaragua, who shared perspectives on tourism, culture, people-to-people connectivity and how tourism can strengthen and deepen mutual understanding.
The Summit convened policymakers, diplomats and leaders from the tourism, travel, aviation and hospitality sectors to discuss the evolving landscape of global travel, mobility, technology, and connectivity.
