Information about the Deputy High commission

The Deputy High commission to Southern India is Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, stationed in Chennai and he assumed office in August 2025 as the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Southern India.

The Chennai mission plays an increasingly important role with respect to the Southern Indian States such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and the Union Territory of Pondicherry.
